Scalloped Potatoes
So many request for recipes in our recent story asking what you want to see in 2021! Here are some perfect scalloped potatoes.
Method
thinly slice peeled Yukon gold potatoes - we used a mandolin slicer
prepare cream sauce with half heavy cream and half whole milk, thyme, crushed garlic cloves, nutmeg, salt and pepper and any other fresh herbs you’d like - heat over low heat for about 10 minutes
layer potatoes salting, peppering, and added gruyere cheese every few levels
once halfway layered add half of cream mixture and repeat
top with more gruyere bake covered for 30 minutes and uncovered for 20 at 400 degrees
Eat as a side dish or main these are so good!
