Wagyu Katsu Sandwich

 

Japanese A5 Wagyu Katsu Sandwich recipe with wagyu from @buybuysashimi!

ingredients

  • Japanese A5 Wagyu @buybuysashimi

  • white bread or milk bread

  • 1/3 cup ketchup

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon mirin

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire

  • grated ginger

  • grated garlic

recipe

  • start by making your sauce, combine ingredients above ketchup - garlic and whisk (this can be used a few days after after preparation)

  • take your wagyu and season with some salt and pepper - that’s it!

  • sear wagyu on high heat in a pan or cast iron about 2 minutes per side...yes, you need to eat this medium rare

  • toast and cut of edges of your bread and spread with katsu sauce

  • top with wagyu and enjoy!

Cannot tell you how good this sandwich is. We know quality wagyu isn’t easy to come by but if you can get your hands on this (DM @buybuysashimi sashimi to order) and make this! Also save some to eat plain to you can really appreciate the meat!
